Company History and Business Practices

TEC Staffing Services has been providing quality employees and innovative staffing solutions for more than 43 years.  As the area’s largest independently owned staffing service, TEC Staffing provides customized staffing partnerships that benefit our clients in meeting their specific needs.  Our corporate office is located in Fort Smith, and we have a total of 10 locations in Arkansas.  TEC Staffing is locally owned and operated, with working owners and managers so you can be in touch with the people that make decisions.  TEC Staffing has a physical presence in Fort Smith, Van Buren, Clarksville, Russellville, Conway, Searcy, Fayetteville, Springdale, and Rogers.

TEC Staffing provides employees for multiple industries including Industrial, Technical, Clerical and Professional.  Industrial positions include warehouse, janitorial, construction and production, while Technical positions include mechanical, electrical and laboratory positions.  Our Office/Professional division provides employees for clerical, administrative and management positions.  TEC Staffing has a full time Social Media Coordinator/Recruiter that attends hiring events, coordinates job fairs and maintains all social media advertising.

Administration

The biggest difference between TEC Staffing and other staffing agencies is customer service.  We customize our staffing solutions for each client, and we provide client support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Each of our offices assign an account manager to manage your account, and an individual account representative will be readily available at all times.  Our offices are fully staffed Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, but our phone is answered 24 hours a day, everyday…allowing our employees to notify us anytime if they are running late or unable to report to work.  TEC Staffing’s management team has access to voicemail and email after hours, allowing us to immediately respond to work orders and other inquiries/concerns and communicate effectively with each customer.

TEC Staffing’s standard services include the following:

  • Provide employees 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Advertise the positions you need to fill
  • Recruit talented, experienced individuals with clerical, janitorial, labor or technical skills
  • Interview applicants for you or with you
  • Drug Screening/National Background Checks available upon request
  • Comply with government I-9 regulations and perform E-Verify on every employee
  • Maintain historical database of current and former employees
  • Comprehensive evaluation of all applicants’ information/skills to identify the person who will do the best job for you
  • Utilize all TEC Staffing branches/offices in recruitment and order fulfillment
  • Conduct Safety & New Employee orientations for all employees
  • Process and defend all unemployment and worker’s compensation claims
  • We will replace any unacceptable worker as soon as possible. Additionally, TEC Staffing has a 4 hour guarantee.  If an employee does not work out in the first 4 hours, a replacement is sent and the customer will not be charged for that original employee.

In addition to our current database of employees, we have a constant flow and an ever-increasing number of applications that we accept on a daily basis.  We routinely advertise our open positions online, on social media, and in local media broadcasts and publications.  Our extensive marketing efforts provide us with new employees ready and willing to work.

TEC Staffing Services provides unemployment and workers’ compensation insurance on all TEC employees assigned to our customers, and TEC Staffing will process all unemployment and workers’ compensation claims.  TEC Staffing will also maintain all payroll files and will process all state and federal payroll taxes, social security withholdings, and required garnishments.  TEC Staffing employees are paid weekly on Fridays.

  • Direct Deposit – TEC employees can take advantage of direct deposit of their paychecks. This feature is safe, secure and more convenient than picking up checks in our branch offices or having checks mailed.
  • Wisely Cash Cards – Another method in which our employees can be paid in the event they are unable to obtain a bank account or do not wish to have one.

Loss Prevention

TEC Staffing Services has a fully staffed Loss Prevention Department in-house, including a loss prevention specialist (NREMT) available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Our safety staff is knowledgeable in OSHA, MSHA, and Worker’s Compensation Regulations.  Our Loss Prevention staff will:
