  • ThC Staffing Services intends to maintain a working environment free from offensive, degrading or discriminatory remarks or conduct Such behavior includes inappropriate remarks about or conduct related to an employee’s race, color, creed, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, genetic history, disability, age or any other basis protected by local, state, or federal civil rights laws. Offensive behavior by this policy also includes requests to engage in illegal, immoral or unethical conduct or retaliation for the making of a complaint under this policy. Harassment also includes any foul, inappropriate, or offensive messages sent via e-mail. One specific kind of illegal behavior is secual !zarassmen4 which is defined as: Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors and other verbal or physical conduct of a señal nature when: I. Submission to such conduct is made either explicitly or implicitly a term or condition of an individual’s employment; 2. Submission to or rejection of such conduct by an individual is used as the basis for employment decisions affecting the employee; 3. Such conduct has the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with an individual’s work performance or creating an intimidating, abusive or offensive working environment Employees are not expected to endure insulting, degrading, or exploitive sexual treatment. ThC Staffing Services has a Zero Tolerance policy against sexual harassment of any kind, as well as against false claims. Employees found guilty of either harassing another employee or making a false claim against an innocent employee will be subject to disciplinary action, leading up to and including termination. Intimidation or retaliation directed towards anyone making a rightful claim ;vill also not be tolerated. All employees are subject to this policy, including managers and owners.
  • Any employee who believes he or she has been the recipient of harassment by anyone they encounter connected with the working environment, including managers/supervisors, co-workers, clients or vendors - whether the same or opposite sex should report the alleged incident immediately to your supervisor or Human Resources. Further, any manager who observes, is made aware of, or has reason to believe harassment is occurring, is required to report the matter to Human Resources. All complaints of sexual harassment will be investigated promptly and thoroughly, with care and discretion. The privacy of the complaining person and the person accused of misconduct will be respected to the extent possible. Information will be shared on a need to know basis only. Retaliation, intimidation or discrimination against an employee for complaining about harassment or for cooperating in an investigation is a violation of local, state and federal law, and TEC Staffing Services policy, and will not be tolerated. Such behavior will result in disciplinary action. Employees can report harassment without fear of intimidation or retaliation. TEC Staffing Services expects that all employees will act in a responsible, professional and respectful maimer, and will work to establish a pleasant environment free of discrimination.

Substance abuse has an adversehimpact on an employee’s work, persona!, and family lives, as well as on the ability of TEC Staffing Services to flulfill its mission to provide the highest quality services to its clients. It can cause poor performance, deorease productivity, and create safety hazards. Consequently, TEC Staffing Services is committed to establishing and maintaining an alcohol and drug-fite workplace. The use, distribution, dispensation, sale, offring for sale, possession, purchase, manufacture, or trading of illegal drugs onTEC Staffing Services premises, client premises, or in any other work-related environment is strictly prohibited_ The prohibition of illegal drug activity includes occasions when an employee is representing TEC Staffing Serviecs or one of TEC Staffing Services clients at events and meetings beyond northal work how-s. - Employees are not permitted to consume alcohol while on TEC Staffing Services premises, client premises, or while conducting ThC Staffing Services business. This does not include official day or evening ftnctions at which alcohol may be served, as long as use does not prevent employees from performing their jobs satisfactorily or pose any threat to the safety or welfare of the employee or others. Employees are prohibited from tile misuse or abuse of prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) drugs. Employees who are using prescribed or OTC drugs for existing medical conditions must inform the designated TEC Staffing Services safety and health - representative of such treatment to discuss ihe necessity of temporary alteration ofjob duties or assignment if the drugs have possible side effects that could affect job performance or if the drugs alter an employee’s physical or mental abilities. Employees who violate this policy are subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination Also, employees of TEC Staffing Services who test positive or admit to sdbstance abuse will be referred to local public agencies that provide rehabilitation and counseling set-vices. The results of all drug testing will be treated confidentially, and for no purpose other than for ThC Staffing Services t? make employment related decisions.
